5月の福岡なんて すごくいい陽気が続いて
毎日毎日天気続きみたいな季節なんだけど
この日は久しぶりにまとまった雨。
朝から都市高速で長浜へ。
We have nice sunny days in May in Fukuoka
but it's rainy today.
We went to Nagahama by highway.
4月のある日 メッセージが届く。
「オッス！おらジェイ。マシューの友達だ。オラもラーメン大好きなんだ。
実は5月の終わりにおらFukuokaさ行くだ！いっしょにラーメン食わねーだが？」
聞けば彼もシアトル在住のFoodWriterらしく やっぱりモーニングガンソしたいらしい。
いかんなぁｗ これじゃ福岡の人間全員が朝めしにラーメン食ってるみたいじゃないかｗ
いや・・・それもおもしろいな・・・
日本人は全員忍者だ！的な感じで博多人の朝めしはラーメンだ！みたいなｗ
I got a message in April.
"Hi! I'm Jay! Matthew's friend! I love ramen too!
I'm going to Fukuoka in May! How about having ramen together?"
He said he was also a food writer and wanted to try Morning-Ganso.
Oh no, American people think that all the Fukuoka people have ramen for every breakfast?
Well, maybe it sounds fun.
Ramen braekfast every morning in Fukoka!
It's like "All Japanese are Ninjas!"
約束の時間になっても姿は見えず。
家のほうに歩いてみると案の定、家２にいた！
こっちだよ！って屋に連れて来たけど 別に家でも家２でもよかったかもしれないなｗ
We were on time and waited but they didn't come.
I went to 「家」to look for them, they were at 「家２」!
Yes, it's complicated, but it's not big different among 「家」「家２」and 「屋」anyway.
今回の外人さんは 奥さんが日本人。
だいぶラクだわｗ
The Gaijin food writer this time, his wife is a Japanese.
That's very helpful.
Jayはおもしろそうだ。それは最初から感じた。
チャットのようにメッセージとメールのやり取りやってて
半分以上は冗談ばっか言い合ってた。
とにかくNice to meet you finally.
Jay is a fun guy, I felt so in the beginning.
Sending messages each other and mails, talking like we were in the chat room,
mostly silly things.

彼はたぶん俺以上にラーメンラバーだと思う。
Jay looked very happy to see the atmosphere and the porky smell.
I think he really loves ramen, more than I do maybe.

朝からガンソ。
本当は徹夜でさんざん酒を飲んで空が明るくなった頃、
元祖でシメるのがモーガンの本質だと思うんだけどね。

Drunk and drunk for the whole night,
and finish at Ganso in the early morning...

マシューもそうだったけど
最近の外人さんはちゃんとラーメンをすする。
そしてgoodのご評価。
福岡人としてはすごく嬉しい。
These days Gaijins can suck in noodles with sounds, like Matthew did.
And they say the ramen is good.
I Fukuocan am very happy to hear that.
横に100円玉を置いているのは替え玉のためだよ。
替え玉はチケットじゃなくて現金で頼めるから。
半玉も頼めるよ。同じ100円だけどね。
The 100-yen coin I put on the table is for kaedama, extra noodle.
We don't have to buy a ticket for it.
We can order the half size, have to pay 100 yen for the half though.
いや それはお金もったいないじゃん！全玉だろ！と
朝から替え玉しっかりひとつ食う外人。

マーケットに行きたいと所望されますので
柳橋連合市場へ。
They said they wanted to go to the local market.
so I took them to Yanagibashi-market.
このあと 彼らのシアトル人らしいとんでもないオタクぶりを見ることになるんですが
それはまた次回のお話・・・
And then, I found that they were really otaku people from Seattle!
that's another story...
